ERA DAY, A DAY OF ACTIVISM

June 30, 2019 - 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

On Sunday, June 30th, activists joined each other at  the home of Alice Paul, the author of the Equal Rights Amendment, for a day of education to reclaim the day that the ERA failed to ratify to the U.S. Constitution and offer women and men equal legal protections in America.

Attendees learned more about the ERA and celebrated the untold number of activists who have persisted for decades in the fight for equal rights! ERA Day  featured a dynamic panel discussion led by legal professionals and ERA advocates who  highlighted the history of the ERA and current efforts across the nation to ratify it.

The panel included, Marcy Syms, ERA Coalition/Fund for Women’s Equality, Roberta W. Francis, ROunder, www. EqualRightsAmmendment.org, Dr. Linda J. Wharton, Professor Political Science, Stockton University, Laura L. DUnn, Esq., Attorney, FOunder of SurvJustice, and Bettina Hager, COO & DC Director, ERA Coalition.
